Scent notes

Only Pear Silk's notes are confirmed. The other twelve say so on the page — here is how to fix one properly.

Of the thirteen products, one has notes anybody has confirmed: Pear Silk. The other twelve were read off the product photography by whoever built the site. They are a decent guess. They are not fact, and the site does not pretend otherwise.

Every unconfirmed product page carries this line under its notes:

Notes are indicative — confirm with us on WhatsApp.

Why this matters more than it looks

A fragrance note is a claim about what is in the bottle. Printing "Sandalwood" because a photograph had driftwood in it, with no line saying so, is telling a customer something nobody checked. The disclosure is what makes the guess honest, and it is why the guess was allowed onto the site at all.

So the rule is one sentence: the disclosure comes off only when a real person has confirmed the notes. Not when the notes look right. Not when the page would read better without it.

Correcting one

In the admin, open the product and find Metadata.

Step 1 — fix the notes. The notes key holds a list, written as text. Each entry has a positiontop, heart or base — and a name:

[
  { "position": "top", "name": "Bergamot" },
  { "position": "heart", "name": "White Jasmine" },
  { "position": "base", "name": "Sandalwood" }
]

Keep the square brackets, the curly brackets, the quotes and the commas exactly as shown. If the text is malformed the shop shows no notes at all rather than half of them — which is at least obvious, and is the intended behaviour.

Step 2 — only if it is genuinely confirmed, set verified_notes to true. That is what removes the indicative line.

Save, wait five minutes, and open the product page on the live shop. If the line is gone, you have just told every future customer that these notes are checked. Make sure they are.

Who can confirm

Whoever blended or sourced the fragrance. Not the photograph, not the description, and not a comparison to another brand's scent.
